    Books
    • God is Not One by Stephen Prothero. He discusses the "eight rival religions that run the world - and why their differences matter." Prothero himself says he is "spiritually confused" so read it for what it is, a book that the author claims highlights the differences between the various religions...and that is all. This book should not be put in the hands of a new Christian because it might make him or her more confused, so read with cautious eyes.

Do you have any ministry ideas for Thanksgiving?

As Thanksgiving approaches, how about encouraging your students to consider inviting one or two of their International friends home with them to celebrate their family's Thanksgiving traditions? I have heard it said that 90% of all International students here in America leave to go back to their native country never having been invited into an American home. Encourage your students to see the amazing opportunity they can personally have to make a significant, eternal impact in an international student's life simply by having them join their family for Thanksgiving! This will, no doubt, provide time for relaxed, open conversations that can lead to faith, the gospel and the hope we have in Jesus Christ.
