Many of you will be receiving names of Graduating Seniors who have committed to be a Collegiate Disciple.
Please note explanation below:

"A Collegiate Disciple is a freshman in the fall of 2013 that makes a commitment to get involved in the BCM of the college or university he or she will be attending, to either stay or become involved in a local church and to be a disciple of Christ during their freshman year of college. The commitments are listed are on collegiatedisciple.net

You will find information below about a student that has signed up to be a collegiate disciple that will be attending your college or university. The student signed up at one of the following conferences: Student Life, Mission Fuge, Centrifuge or World Changers.

Please do the following:

  1. Make contact with the Collegiate Disciple and invite them to get involved in your ministry.
  2. Secure a Discipleship Partner for them from your ministry. Ask the Discipleship Partner to call or email or meet with them and to pray for and encourage them throughout the summer and then during the school year.
  3. Share with the Collegiate Disciple churches he or she may wish to consider being a part if they are not a commuter.
  4. Help the Collegiate Disciple to carry out the commitments they made to be a Collegiate Disciple during their freshman year.
  5. Consider inviting the other freshmen that will be involved in your ministry to be a Collegiate Disciple during their freshman year. They can sign-up with the attached form or at collegiatedisciple.net.
  6. Share about the Senior Disciple ministry with your local and area student/youth ministers. A Senior Disciple is a senior in high school in the fall of 2013 that makes a commitment to be a leader in their youth group during their senior year and to reach out to their school in the name of Christ. During the spring semester of their senior year they are asked to make contact with the BCM Director of the college or university they will be attending. We have attached a sign-up form or they can sign-up on seniordisciple.net

We send an email to the parents of each Collegiate Disciple asking them to pray for their son or daughter as a Collegiate Disciple committer. We send an email to the Youth/Student minister of each Collegiate Disciple asking them to meet with the student and to commission them before they begin college.

Email me at lsubcm@eatel.net or call me at 225-343-0408 if you have any questions"

Steve Masters at LSU has initiated this through BCNet.....doing an excellent job.  On collegiatedisciple.net Steve has also linkedtexasfreshmen.com for those attending Texas campuses. Please follow up with all students names you receive especially those who have committed to be Collegiate Disciples this fall on your campus.
